Mom Tattoo’s 11-Year-Old
I personally have no tattoos, I even posted on Facebook the other day that I wanted to get one and the first person to comment was my Mom saying: “Mikey NO TATTOOS”! However, Odessa Clay is clearly much different from my mother. Clay, a woman from North Carolina is currently on trial for tattooing her 11-year-old daughter. He daughter recently asked to get a tattoo and instead of telling her that you must wait until you are 18 and it is legal she took the matter into her own hands literally. She took out her tatoo gun and gave her daughter a “small, heart-shaped tatoo near her right shoulder”.
When the 30-year-old mother was asked why she decided to tattoo her daughter she responded by saying “She asked me to do it”. She went on to explain to the police that she thought that a tattoo for someone under the age of 18 were legal as long as there was parent consent. She also blamed the fact that she even got arrested for this on her ex-in-laws because she thinks that they are the ones who reported the dispute.
Nevertheless, do you think it is ok for someone who is 11 to get a tattoo if their parent says it is ok!?
