It has been 45 years since someone has won the Triple Crown in baseball. Last night, that changed!  Detroit’s own Miguel Cabrera finished the season leading the league in batting average, home runs and RBIs to be the first Triple Crown winner since 1967!  The only two things we want to see now is a World Series Championship, and an MVP award for Cabrera!  With all the excitement, Buck and Coop made a declaration onto the city of Detroit!

Miguel finishes the season with a .330 average, 44 home runs, and 139 RBIs!  He is the 17th player in MLB history to do this, and the 2nd Tiger to ever do it.  And according to Tigers.com, Miguel is still trying to come to realization that this REALLY happened to him!

“Unbelievable,” Cabrera said. “I don’t believe this happened right now. I didn’t believe three weeks ago it was going to happen. I didn’t believe this was possible. But you always dream. Thank God I got an opportunity for this dream to come true.”
