Drinking Beer Can Help Your Muscle Tissue!?
UC Santa Barbara did a little research that can really explain why I drink so much! They conducted research that showed a substance, found in beer could help with the prevention of muscle tissue from deteriorating. With this decrease in muscle deterioration it can help people keep strong into their old age! What would an experiment be with out lab rats, the substance 8-prenylnarigenin showed in lab rats that it helps keep muscle tissue. Now you would have to really step up your keg stand or funneling skills to make this work because a human would have to drink between 22 – 5,000 gallons of beer in a day. Therefore, instead of recommending people to drink crazy amounts of their favorite beer they are actually using the research to create a drink with 8-prenylnarigenin that is a little more reasonable
See when I first read this I thought I finally have a solid excuse to drink more! I get a weekly phone call from my poor mother back home in Boston and saying “Michael (yes she calls me Michael) when is this phase of your life going to be over” and I thought I could now say “but mom im just trying to make sure I build up my muscle tissue”! However, even drinking a lot I am not confident that I could down 5 gallons of beer day in and day out. This really brings a whole new feel to the “case race” make it a “5 gallon race”. I am also curious to see what scientists come up with for a drink with this substance and if it will be alcoholic or not.
