Tonight A Robot Bulit By Area H.S. Students Will Throw Out The First Pitch

One thing I’ve always wanted to cross off my bucket list was to throw out the first pitch at a Detroit Tigers game. Tonight a robot will beat me out and throw out the first pitch at the Tigers game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The robot was built by area high schools students and is about the size of a shopping cart and get this the robot will actually travel to the mound on its own with the students controlling it with a joystick.

It will be the first time in Major League Baseball history that a robot built by kids gets the game opening honor. Don’t miss the Tigers vs. Blue Jays tonight on FSD.
