Rihanna took to national television the other day to once again talk about her relationship with Chris Brown and the infamous Grammy Night incident. This time Oprah was the chosen interviewer, and it seems Ms. Winfrey really got Rihanna to open up. Among other things RiRi admitted that Chris was “the love of my life” and “He was my first love.” She also talked about her feelings immediately after the fight, and admitted that she was more worried about Chris and what people would think of him than she was herself “Because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help and who’s going to help him? Nobody’s going to say he needs help. Everybody’s going to say he’s a monster without looking at the source, and I was more concerned about him.” Alright, I think I’ve had enough of this. Chris was wrong for what he did. You forgive him and still love him. It’s starting to sound like a broken record. Matter of fact, didn’t we just hear this story on Barbara Walters? Hanging on to the pain and hurt doesn’t promote healing. Also, I’m bored of it. At this point Rihanna should be doing one of two things: A.) forgetting about Chris and working towards a relationship with someone else. B.) forgiving him and reconciling their relationship. I know, a lot of people are appalled that I would even suggest that. I just feel if she’s gonna hold on and give him that part of her heart anyways, she might as well give him the whole thing. People make mistakes. And people change. I just hope she doesn’t find out whether he has or not the hard way.
