Former U of M Star Lamarr Woodley Donates $60k To His Old High School

A good friend of mine since High School, Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lamarr Woodley did something awesome for the community he grew up in. Woodley donated $60,000 to his former school district in Saginaw, Michigan so students can play sports for free this year.

Due to budget cuts, students at the middle school had to pay $50 per sport, while at the high school they were being charged $75 per sport.

Now thanks to Woodley’s donation, kids will be able to play sport for free. He grew up in Saginaw and was a star football player at the high school before heading to U of M and the NFL.
