I’m so excited about this!!  Drake is Aaliyah’s biggest fan so it’s perfect that he would be involved in a posthumous album featuring the late great singer. Did you know that Drake has a tattoo of Aaliyah’s face on his back??  That pretty much says it all.

Drake will be the executive producer on an album featuring the late singer.  Amazing right!!   Fans will get a special treat this weekend at the 2012  OVO festival, taking place on Sunday (August 5) in Drake’s hometown of Toronto. According to a close source,  Drake is set to debut a brand new song on Sunday which features Aaliyah.

Aaliyah who was raised in Detroit, tragically lost her life in a plane crash.  She was only 22.  Aaliyah was in the Bahamas filming her music video for, Rock The Boat.  The plane crashed and exploded at take off.    After her death, the two posthumous albums, 2002’s I Care 4 U and 2005’s Ultimate Aaliyah were released featuring best-of material and unreleased songs.  I can’t wait to hear what Drake does with her music.
