The Maybach Music MC came forward to clear the names of both superstar talents tied to last week’s violence at the SoHo club W.i.P.
“I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there,” Meek told XXL. “Chris and Drake, them two was there but it’s other people that be around that take s— to the next level. Things just happen in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of s****. All types of people.”
Meek Mill’s claims differ from the recollections of Kenneth “K-Mac” McCray, a Bronx-based musician who told NY Daily News that Drake initiated the bottle-throwing brawl which caught many party goers in the cross fire.
Lucy Pavlovsky, 24, of Hoboken, N.J., who was one of several people injured during the melee, said she suffered two gashes on her arm that required 12 stitches to close. She’s planning to make the wrongdoers pay.
“My plan is to sue anybody who threw a bottle, anybody who created that dangerous atmosphere,” Pavlovsky said through her lawyer Javier Solano.
On Saturday, June 16, 24-year-old Australian woman, Hollie C., showed off the injuries she received at the club via Youtube.
“The reason why I have 16 stitches on my head, on my face, is because of some stupid famous people having a fight over a girl,” she said, referring to reports that the melee broke out because of Rihanna, to whom both Brown, Mill and Drake have been romantically linked.
Last week a rep for the NYC police department confirmed to CBS Local that the altercation occurred at around 4:00am at 34 Vandam street (club W.i.P.). While police say they responded to a 9-1-1 call about a disorderly group, the unruly parties have been identified as Drake, Brown and their entourages.
