Gearing up for their first U.S. album, the Wanted just revealed details on their next single. Titled “Gold Forever,” the band’s new track will be available on iTunes next week.
The poignant ballad is an introduction to the band’s more serious side. With slowed piano accompaniment at the song’s start
the track quickly picks up with a driving drum beat and soaring string features.
“We’re standing in a light that won’t fade/ Tomorrow’s coming, but this won’t change/ Because some days stay gold forever,” they sing.
Promising an “epic” release, the Wanted’s upcoming single follows the success of “Glad You Came,” which is going platinum this week.

Despite the more serious sound to the lyrics, the Wanted show their funny side in the music video released last year.
The Wanted recently told MTV News that they are grateful for being embraced by America.
“The American fans are so optimistic, very intense,” Max George said. “They’re just really enthusiastic. I get a massive buzz off American people. I think it’s really refreshing.”
He added that they never expected sold-out dates in America.
“The States is one territory in the world we always wanted to crack, and that’s like the ultimate. It’s been amazing.”
The Wanted’s self-titled album will be released in the U.S. April 24.
