Detroit Tigers Pay $214 Million For Their Prince Slugger

Free agent first baseman and home run slugger Prince Fielder and the Tigers agreed yesterday on a nine-year, $214 million contract!!!

Since the news of the recent knee injury to Victor Martinez, the Detroit Tigers aggressively were working to fill the void.  There hard worked payed off and they landed their Prince!  Tiger fans are welcoming home Prince Fielder back to Detroit.  Prince Fielder is the son of legendary 1st baseman and home run slugger Cecil Fielder who played for the Detroit Tigers from 1990-1995.  The 9 year $214 Million contract is the 4th largest contract in baseball history
