Every day our man Nick Cannon covers off on the hottest music, movies and stars of pop culture. Come back each day for a list from Nick as part of Cannon’s Countdown.
Superstar pop/r&b singer [mp3com-artist]Adele [/mp3com-artist]has suffered from vocal chord problems over the past few months that has caused her to cancel her entire tour. So, for those of you that are still wiping tears from your face because you thought you wouldn’t get a chance to see the Brit sing “Someone Like You,” well there’s good news!
In November, the talented as hell singer is releasing the DVD titled Live at the Royal Albert Hall which was taped in September during her much talked about performance at the legendary venue.
The film, directed by Pug Dugdale, features her full 90 minute performance and behind the scenes stuff. Along with songs from her two hit albums, 19 and 21 (which has sold more than 4 million copies so far this year) she also covers hits like Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and the Steeldrivers’ “If It Hadn’t Been for Love.”
You can pre-order it now at Adele.com as well as on Amazon!
Yo, now I know what I am going to buy everyone for the company Christmas party!
Here are five of my favorite Adele live performances.
1. “Someone Like You”
Adele recorded this live at her home. Beats my shower singing.
2. “Set Fire to the Rain”
I guess she one-upped Jesus’ little walking on water bit.
3. “Rolling In the Deep”
David Letterman thought this was a redneck theme song until Adele appeared on his show.
4. “Turning Tables”
Yes, the tables have turned for Adele. Who knew that she would be this global superstar?
5. “Turning Tables”
Gwyneth Paltrow’s version from “Glee”. What do you think, kiddies? Either way, its dope that Gywneth is so fearless. She’s singing an Adele song on national TV! (And btw, her singing is better than Sliding Doors any day.)
