This year’s Disrupt (a technology conference) captured technology gurus from around the world, once again. From developers to eager startup entrepreneurs, every representation from the tech world filled the halls, including celebrities, the newest breed of enthusiasts. Actor Ashton Kutcher and singers Trey Songs and Chamillionaire were all in attendance, networking, listening, learning, speaking and being interviewed. Why are celebrities suddenly taking an interest in Silicon Valley? Don’t they have people that run their social media for them? Not always. And according to Chamillionaire, “why not?” get involved in Social Media? Celebrities are realizing that technology platforms like Twitter and Facebook provide them with new ways to connect with fans and rather than just be in these platforms they’d rather invest or be ‘in the know’ before anyone else. Smart. Check out the video below showing rapper Chamillionaire being interviewed.
