Google gives back whenever and wherever possible, especially when it comes to supporting our service men and women and even more so when they are over seas on long tours of duty. This Labor Day, going forward, Google is offering free calls from within Gmail to the United States for people with a valid .mil email address. It might not seem like much, but you’d understand after getting your first cell phone bill with roaming charges from the eastern mountains of Afghanistan. For those of you who could use this helpful bit of information, just add your military address to your Google account. It’ll send you an email to your .mil account and you just have to click the link in that email and you’re free to make calls back into the US from wherever your tour of duty may be. I can’t imagine how nice it is to talk to someone from home, on Labor Day, for Free!
