Rap Giants Lil Wayne And Eminem Represent At Bonnaroo
Rap’s finest, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eminem[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lil Wayne[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Big Boi [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Wiz Khalifa[/lastfm], busted rhymes at this weekend’s epic music festival Bonnaroo. Couldn’t make it to Manchester, Tennessee? No worries. We have the low down on one of music’s finest festivals of the year.
Lil Wayne was arguably one of the most anticipated acts of the festival. According to our friends at MTV, Weezy gave it his all… including his shirt which he ripped off mid-performance. He rapped, sweat, and whipped the crowd into a frenzy with his hits “Bill Gates” and “6 Foot, 7 Foot.” After hours of performing alone and with his crew, Weezy ended the night by giving a shoutout and fist pump to his old collaborator Mannie Fresh who was in the exclusive Bonnaroo crowd.
Rap veteran Eminem was the heavy Hip Hop hitter of the traditionally alt festival. The old timer easily handled the roaring crowds and record breaking heat. Per MTV, Eminem donned his traditional hoodie for his Saturday night performance and gave the crowd 90 minutes of unadulterated hits and fire(works). He busted out classics “3 am,” “Lose Yourself” and sampled new beats from “Fast Lane.” He ended the night with an epic fireworks display.
Big Boi and Wiz Khailfa “Rolled Up” to the event and rounded out Hip Hop’s presence at the festl. While neither brought the party as much as Em and Wayne, both played their biggest hits to packed crowds. Be sure to look for these two throughout the summer as they rise in the ranks of Hip Hop’s newest elite.
