T-Pain Says He Won’t Pain Us With Auto-Tune Ever Again, Not A Joke (We Think)
When we were first sent this story, we seriously thought it was a joke. C’mon. Really? The King of Auto-Tune, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]T-Pain[/lastfm], giving up his “best instrument?”
What will he sound like? What will he do? Does that mean he’s not on a boat anymore? Our worlds are rocked.
[pullquote quote=”I vow right here, right now, to never use Auto-Tune again.”]In his newest song with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chris Brown[/lastfm] called “Best Love Song,” T-Pain sings that lyrics “turn up the bass/turn up the treble/I’m about to take it to a whole ‘nother level,” but now that “whole ‘nother level” will be sans auto-tune.
T-Pain told All Hip Hop News that he is giving up auto-tune for good:
“I vow right here, right now, to never use Auto-Tune again…I’m onto something that I think is bigger and better called ‘The T-Pain Effect.'”
Apparently, T-Pain is partnering with Izotope, an audio technology company, to create the “T-Pain Effect.”
We are super curious to know what that means. And scared. Really, really scared.
When all is said and done, T-Pain won’t be saying anything in autotune anymore. APPARENTLY.
