MARTINIS and wound up crashing his SUV, reports the AP.
Rose, who entered his plea in District Court in Oakland County’s Bloomfield Hills, faces up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.
The 38-year-old was arrested March 11 after his Cadillac Escalade crashed about 20 miles northwest of Detroit in West Bloomfield Township. Rose and his female passenger were unhurt.
Authorities said Rose had a 0.088 blood-alcohol level, above the legal limit of 0.08 percent. Judge District Judge Kimberly Small asked Rose how many drinks he’d had the night of the crash.
“I’m embarrassed to say I had six drinks that evening,” Rose replied.
Asked what kind of drink, Rose said they were martinis.
The judge then asked Rose how large the drinks were.
“I’m embarrassed to say too big,” Rose said.
According to a police report The Associated Press obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request, Rose was given several field sobriety tests and had difficulty with each one. Officer Robert Stephens wrote that Rose had trouble following the horizontal movement of the officer’s finger. Rose also could not keep his balance while listening to instructions on walking and turning.
