UNBELIEVABLE….Getting too much sleep might be holding you back at work….HUH???
New research found that, despite what you’ve heard, sleeping too much can have a negative effect on brain function.
Scientists at the University of London discovered that about eight percent of people who consistently get more than the recommended amount of shut eye (six to eight hours) performed worse in a number of cognitive tests, according to an article in The Daily Mail.
And even scarier, regularly spending over eight hours a day sleeping can age your brain up to seven years. Yikes.
We can’t say we’re totally shocked, though, since we’ve definitely noticed that on those rare days when we log nine or 10 hours of Zs, we often feel even more exhausted.
