What do Facebook, Justin Beiber, and MTV have in common? Well, they’re all pretty popular, yes. You can acces almost all of them almost anywhere at almost any time. But other than that, not a lot, except that the three major powers are joining forces to campaign in the fight against bullies, called Draw Your Line, which targets online and digital abuse. That includes but is not limited to: cyber-bullying, online stalking, and text harassment. You can enter the contest to help out on the A Thin Line Facebook page, or the contest’s site,. Just go on, posting about the action you are taking to stop the spread of digital abuse, and you’re done! There’s a list of suggestions from Draw The Line listed below to help you out. Please, join the fight against bullying.
Delete it: Delete inappropriate messages or images from your digital devices.
Block it: Block a phone number or online user from sending hurtful or harassing messages.
Change your passwords: Change your passwords on your phone, social networking and email accounts to prevent unwanted access to your accounts.
Speak up: Call out someone who is abusing you or report them to the site administrators, the authorities or a trusted adult.
Get help: Get support from a parent, teacher, friend, online resource or other trusted source if you are being abused.
Oh an back to the contest… yes, there are prizes involved. Every time you post an action through the end of March, you receive one more chance at winning.
