Detroit’s own White Stripes announced today that after more than 13 years they were calling it quits. The band first formed and performed in and around Detroit before making it big in 2001.
Jack and Meg White decided to disband The White Stripes for good. In a statement released on their website they explained, ”It is for a myriad of reasons, but mostly to preserve what is beautiful and special about the band and have it stay that way.”
