Each week our friends at The Guest List bring us great interviews with the world’s hottest stars.  Just in time for the premiere of “The Rite,” they sat down with Sir Anthony Hopkins.

Supernatural dramas like The Exorcism, The Omen and the Amityville Horror scared millions worldwide with their stories about exorcism based on “real life events.”  Like most people in this world, many still remain skeptical of the subject matter, but in a recent press interview with Anthony Hopkins who plays a priest and “exorcism expert” in a new horror/thriller called The Rite convince us that a world of demon possession may in fact be real.

Adapted from Matt Baglio’s upcoming novel, The Rite is based on real life events that center on the legitimacy of satanic possession and the Vatican’s attempt to cover it up.

The film is out on January 28 and also stars Colin O’Donoghue, Alice Braga (Predators), Toby Jones (Frost/Nixon), with Ciaran Hinds (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2), and Rutger Hauer (Batman Begins, Blade Runner).

Anthony Hopkins plays Father Lucas Trevant in The Rite. In this interview, the actor talks about how he didn’t want to do the film, religion, and classic films that spooked the guy who’s played some scary roles himself.
