posner Mike Posner Helps Launch New Phone

Last Week in New York City, AT&T launched a new cell phone called the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10. Thais was the debut of the phone into the United states, and apparently is a long awaited arrival for some. Although, the phone is arriving at difficult time, due to to the dawn of the ‘super phone’, you know with the iPhone 4, the HTX Evo and all the other ‘smart’ phones out there right now. However, AT&T invited pop singer Mike Posner to its flagship store in Time Square, New York City, to perform at the store. A few fans squeezed into the store to hear Posner perform a few songs from his debut record. The XPERIA X10 is available for $149.99 with a two-year agreement and $349.99 with no commitment pricing. For the cost, you’ll get an 8.1 megapixel camera, a 4-inch LCD touch screen, 1 GHz processor, and AT&T’s Timescape and Mediascape interfaces. Sony is releasing the X10 with Android 1.6, which makes it less appealing to Android fans looking for the latest version of the software. An update to Android 2.1 is expected soon but there’s still no word on 2.2.

Would you have gone just to see Mike Posner perform? Would you have purchased the phone as well? What if you purchased the phone and had Posner autograph the back?! Now there’s a thought…
