An Ark., teenager is suing his mother for allegedly hacking into his Facebook account and posting slanderous entries about him.
Denise New’s 16-year-old son filed charges and requested a no-contact order after she allegedly accessed his Facebook account, changed his password and began posting entries. New, who has been charged with harassment in Clark County, said she had the right to monitor her son’s account and felt the need to do so after reading posts her son had written on Facebook.
“I read things on his Facebook about how he had gone to Hot Springs one night and was driving 95 mph home because he was upset with a girl,” said New, whose son currently lives with his grandmother who has custodial rights.
Prosecutors declined to comment on the case but said a person can be charged with harassment if they annoy or alarm another person without good cause or alarm or seriously annoy another person. source
