Travis Barker/DJ AM Plane Crash Was Preventable

plane crash

US federal saefty investigators said yesterday that the September 19, 2008 Learjet crash with [lastfm]Blink182[/lastfm] drummer [lastfm]Travis Barker[/lastfm], and [lastfm]DJ AM [/lastfm]on board can be attributed to underinflated tires. Apparentely charter flight and business jet operators often don’t check tire pressure enough (obviously) and aren’t aware of how rapidly it can deflate. Hmmm, well, are you aware now? If i were an “operator,” I think I would add that on my “to-do” list. This PREVENTABLE crash killed the pilot, co-pilot, Barker’s Security Guard and his assistant “lil’ Chris,” who was also Barker’s cousin. Let’s not forget DJ AM, who was found dead in his apartment on August 28, 2009 of an apparent overdose on prescription drugs. Presciption drugs he obtained because of injuries from the crash.
